A platform for co-creating Vietnam’s M&A market
The Spring M&A Forum was designed as a substantive dialogue platform for Vietnam’s dealmaking community at the beginning of 2026. Its programme connected public-sector perspectives with the practical experience of investors, business leaders and advisers, addressing the legal, capital and strategic considerations that shape successful transactions.

Discussions reflected the growing role of M&A as more than a transaction mechanism. In an environment shaped by supply-chain realignment, shifting capital flows and stronger requirements for governance and transparency, M&A can provide businesses with a practical route to restructure, improve competitiveness and connect with long-term strategic capital.
Turning investment readiness into sustainable value
A recurring theme was the importance of preparing businesses to meet investor expectations. Strong operating performance alone may not translate into an attractive valuation if governance, financial reporting, legal documentation and long-term strategy are not sufficiently robust.

For Vietnamese enterprises, this means treating transaction readiness as a continuous process: building transparent information systems, strengthening management capabilities, clarifying growth priorities and identifying the right strategic partners before entering formal negotiations. These foundations can help businesses protect value and create more resilient post-transaction outcomes.
Strengthening a professional M&A ecosystem
The forum also marked an important moment for the development of the Vietnam Mergers & Acquisitions Association (VMAA). The establishment of a dedicated professional body is expected to encourage market standards, policy dialogue, knowledge sharing and stronger connections among businesses, investors and advisers.

By contributing as a speaker and strategic partner, James Invest supported the forum’s objective of connecting opportunity with execution. The company remains committed to helping enterprises and investors navigate fundraising, corporate restructuring and cross-border M&A with disciplined preparation and a long-term perspective.
